Robust Verification of an Improved TEC Method based on real-time simulation system

This paper builds a real-time display simulation platform that integrates aircraft model, real-time dynamic display, route management, and control strategy selection. In order to use FlightGear to dynamically show the flight status of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in real time, this paper create a geometric model of a certain type of UAV in FlightGear, and build the communication between Matlab and FlightGear. Based on the theory of total energy control (TEC), a modified total energy method is used to simulate the landing process in real time that use FlighGear for real-time display. After considering the parameter deviation, the Monte Carlo method is used to the simulation for providing the histograms of parameters such as touchdown speed and touchdown height rate are given, which proves that the algorithm is robust to the parameter uncertainty of the UAV.
