Software and Hardware Development of a Universal AC/DC Motor Drive Control System

This paper designs and implements a universal AC/DC motor drive control system, which can realize the servo control of different types of motors through the software layer design under the condition that the hardware circuit is basically unchanged. The article adopts the design scheme of the common power supply and the common power module in the hardware part. The modularized design greatly reduces the complexity of the system and improves the stability and maintainability of the system. The software part adopts hierarchical design, clearly distinguishes the interacting part of the software and the hardware, and realizes the versatility and expandability of the system. In this paper, brushed DC motor, three-phase brushless DC motor (BLDC) and three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) are taken as examples to realize and verify the control system. This design can effectively reduce the R&D cycle and the R&D maintenance costs of personnel.
