Deconvolution estimation of nerve and muscle conduction velocity distribution

The Nerve Evoked Response and the Muscle Voluntary Response are described by the convolution of a term independent of velocity with a second term dependent on the conduction velocity. A deconvolution estimator of the conduction velocity distribution is proposed for each case. The simulation results included allow assessment of the estimator performances. The nerve CVD estimates are more accurate than the muscle estimates, however a filtering technique helps to reduce the variance of the muscle estimate errors.
