Storage Technology Current Trends - Optane and It’s Future Implications

CPU instructions per cycles have increased multiple folds but that same super scaling have not been seen in memory speeds, causing bottleneck in achieving higher performance when it comes to an overall system. In this paper we look at Optane H10 memory solution from various standpoints starting from comparison with the existing single drive and multiple drive solutions to the implications of the different drives solutions on the system speeds, integration and Validation challenges etc. Over the course of complete write up we have tried to weave through all the details of taking a proof of concept technology over complete system validation cycle and deployment to customers.
