Induction Motor's Bearing Condition Motoring and Diagnosis Applying Cloud Services and Artificial Neural Networks

Induction motors are most common load in industry today. The sustainable and continuous operation of induction motors is the key objective of successful modern factory to prevent unplanned production interruptions. Production delay causes financial loses that variate depending on production process technology. The most common malfunction of induction motor is bearing failure. Statistically, about 42% motors malfunctions are bearing failures. The objective of this research paper is to evaluate monitoring system that gathers real time data of motor bearing to cloud in order to represent the monitoring results remotely. What is more, the artificial neural network for advanced diagnosis of induction motor bearings is introduced. Accordingly, correlations between measured values of vibration velocity, vibration acceleration and bearing temperature are analyzed in this research paper.
