Determination of Load-Carrying Capacity of the Honeycomb Panel at Fixing Points of Embedded Bushings Under In-Plane Load

Modern composites can reduce the mass, increase the strength, rigidity, chemical, and thermal structure stability which provides increasing the mass of the output carrier rocket payload. Composites have a great prospect of application when creating and deploying large-sized structures in space. This article considers a typical three-layer honeycomb panel of a spacecraft (SC). For the power frame of the SC attachment, as well as for carrying out rigging work, embedded elements (bushings) are installed in the panel. The paper presents the results of an experimental and numerical determination of the panel carrying capacity at the sites of embedded bushings installation under in-plane load.
