Runway Safety Information Analysis and Management Recommendations

Based on the ICAO and IATA runway safety information, this article has summarized the importance of runway safety management. After analysis of the runway safety incidents information and the cause factors of US and China, this article emphasized the necessary of value management and measurement of runway safety management objectives. Due to the diversity of runway safety incidents cause factors, and unexpectedness and potential high severity for these incidents, this article suggest it is necessary not only focus on runway safety incidents information analysis but also pay more attention on the real time runway safety information collection and processing during flight operations, and related operational risk warning mechanism building.
