A Novel Circuit of Power Converters applied to EV Wireless Charging System

A circuit topology of power converters with high frequency and high output power characteristics for electric vehicle (EV) magnetically-coupled resonant wireless power charging system is proposed in this paper. The rectifier of this circuit provides less harmonic pollution to the power grid compared to traditional rectifiers. At the same time the inverter of this circuit achieves higher output power than the bridge inverter under the same DC voltage input condition. A Matlab/Simulink model is built and the simulations are carried out. The results verify the effectiveness of the circuit.
