Inverse Successive Interference Cancellation For Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access

This paper investigates the inverse successive interference cancellation strategy for non-orthogonal multiple access. Unlike the conventional successive interference cancellation strategy, the inverse technique firstly decodes the information, which has the least power allocation coefficient, and treats the others as interference and also subtracts the decoded information from the total received information. After this process, the inverse strategy decodes the information, which has the second-lowest power allocation coefficient, and treats the others as interference. Analytical, asymptotic, and Monte-Carlo simulations reveal that the inverse successive interference cancellation strategy achieves better outage and throughput performance for the second-lowest power allocated information while it severely degrades the least power allocated information's outage and throughput performance in comparison to conventional successive interference cancellation strategy.
