The Physical Environmental Factors in the Work Environment

The aim of this paper was to get more information about the influence of selected physical factors on humans at work. The paper presents the results of the experiment regarding the impact of selected physical factors on the work performance. The selected physical factors included noise, light and microclimate. Impact assessment of individual factors was performed by means of an Attention Test, namely a numerical rectangle, which was modified for easier readability. A short questionnaire was used to find out the experimental impressions that the participants filled out after the experiment ended. Thanks to the experiment and the questionnaire, it was possible to compare physical and mental perception of individual factors by the participants. We found that the worst-rated factor is noise. The factor that least influenced the work performance was microclimate.
