A Multiband Cross- and Circular Polarizer

In this paper, a single layered anisotropic high efficient multiband cross- and circular polarizer is modeled and analyzed. The unit cell of the proposed anisotropic metasurface contains a curved double-head anchors. The metasurface gives linear to linear polarization conversion (cross-polarization) with in frequency ranges of 5.8-6.15, 10.2-16.15 and 19.65-19.92 GHz with more than 90% efficiency. Moreover, linear to circular polarization conversion is achieved over three frequency bands of 5.50-5.56, 6.62-8.93 and 16.2-18.92 GHz. The response of the metasurface is stable up to 30⁰.The proposed metasurface has numerous applications in polarization control devices.
