Design of Control System for a Smart Coconut Dryer

The most essential operation in the post-harvest agricultural preservation process is drying. Drying also protects agricultural products from pests and microbes. Unlike other dryers, the proposed dryer is capable of working in all weather conditions. In this paper, ANSYS based stress and temperature analysis for the proposed dryer is presented. Stress analysis for the circular and rectangular tray is simulated and results are obtained for a full load and half load conditions. In temperature analysis, the streamline flow of hot air is determined. From streamline flow temperature and pressure variations with respect to velocities is obtained. The parameters like temperature inside the dryer and moisture content of the coconut pulp are monitored and controlled effectively. This makes the system smart and efficient.
