Distribution Of Pacs Functions Among Ieds Using The Knowledge Base Mechanism

This paper describes the application of knowledge base technology and logical conclusion mechanism for automating the digital substation design process, notably the distribution of protection, automation and control (PAC) functions of substation equipment among intelligent electronic devices in accordance with regulatory and technical documentation.
