Experimental Study of Wireless Communication Channels with SCMA

The article deals with the experimental study of the communication system of “point-point” type with a promising SCMA multiple access technique. This technique allows providing greater noise immunity and spectral efficiency compared to existing solutions. The process of the experimental model development is described; the basic algorithms for signal formation and processing, including time and frequency synchronization and equalization algorithms are considered. The results of the experiments are described; the AFC of transmission channel and the dependence of bit-error probability on the signal-to-noise ratio are given. In the course of the experiment, the transmission noise immunity of the communication system with SCMA and OFDM-QAM or OFDM-PSK communication system based on the scheme of multiple access and modulation was compared. It is shown that the noise immunity of the communication system with SCMA in real transmission channels exceeds the noise immunity of conventional telecommunication systems using OFDM-QAM or OFDM-PSK multiple access and modulation.
