The Correlation of Puppet’s Narrativity with Live Experienced in Ceramic Work

This research aims to describe the influence of the narrative aspects of wayang (puppets) in ceramic works. Puppet is one of the richest narratives in the lives of Indonesian especially in Central Java. In addition to didactic aspects (teaching), imaginatively puppets also arranged by a narrative aspects; we need to grasp various symbols in order to fully comprehend puppets (show and play). The strength of the puppet narratives lies in its human-related elements. The script of the puppet’s play script is of no exception. One of the narrative elements in the play is a depiction of the figure’s characters. Figure’s characters and narratives are two of the most important things in puppet’s show and play. Firstly, the narrative analysis be used to explore puppet’s characters, namely Semar, Pandawa, Buto ijo, Kayon. The results of the narrative analysis on the puppet’s figures will be the based to the understanding puppets related to the ceramic work. Secondly, the relation between the puppet’s narrative and ceramic works will also be analyzed through live experienced of the artist.
