Validation for Ioniq EV via Chassis Dynamometer Test

Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is not only a promising solution that can reduce the emission from vehicles but also a very attractive product that provides excellent accelerating performance by using an electric machine. Therefore, automotive manufacturers make efforts to expand and to preoccupy the EV market. In this study, Ioniq EV, an electric vehicle manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company, has been tested on a bench dynamometer, and the performance of the vehicle has been analyzed based on the test results. On the other hand, a simulation model for evaluating the performance of the vehicle is developed by using parameters estimated from the analysis results, and it is possible to estimate the state of charge of the battery based on the simulation model, which is very close to the test results, within 2% error.
