Lisingo: A Text-To-Speech Web Service-Based Application Using Serverless Cloud Computing

As cloud computing continues to introduce new features and services, it also introduces some challenges like cost, complexity, and integration issues. Some researchers have used traditional cloud architecture for their applications, like text-to-speech (TTS), using cloud architecture. However, these existing text-to-speech approaches rely on the user providing large amounts of input text, manually moving it from one place to another. In order to resolve this issue, we have proposed a Serverless approach and prototype called Lisingo. Lisingo's primary focus is to provide a new way for users to transform their desired text into an easily accessible format. By leveraging the use of serverless cloud technology, Lisingo aims to provide a seamless text-to-speech service for users while removing unnecessary compute resources and cost.
