Introduction of a Maritime Model for Cyber and Information Warfare

A model for cyber and information warfare, based on Corbett's maritime theory, is introduced in this paper. Similarities between cyber/information warfare and maritime warfare are identified and the value of using a maritime-inspired model for understanding cyber/information warfare is discussed. The paper also reviews the application of Corbett's maritime model to other domains of warfighting and discusses how this work builds upon and learns from these previous efforts.
