Message Based Device Management Architecture for Public Transportation Systems

Nowadays, Internet technologies and smart systems are becoming widespread in transportation systems. Transportation systems are mainly responsible for vehicle tracking, trip tracking, in-vehicle sensor tracking and bidirectional communication. However, the presence of different providers in the system makes it difficult to work together. This complexity can be overcomed by re-evaluating the fields of device management within the context of the Internet of Things. The Internet of Things makes significant contributions to the communication skills of machines and the distribution of information and services. In this work, message-based architecture definition has been defined for device management. This architecture is exemplified to make transportation systems smarter.
