Optimized Multiplexer and Exor gate in 4-dot 2-electron QCA using Novel Input Technique

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata is a nanotechnology idea under research to design circuits with high packaging density, small area and low power. In this work, novel designs of multiplexer and exclusive-or gate are proposed in 4-dot 2-electron QCA using novel input technique. Input is applied to the circuit by controlling the position of the input cell. The proposed technique eliminates the use of an inverter in circuits, which require both inverted as well as non-inverted input. To validate the proposed idea, multiplexer and exor gate are designed using the proposed idea. The proposed designs has smaller area, fewer cell count and cost compared to the existing state-of-the-art designs. All the proposed designs are simulated and verified using QCADesigner.
