A Real Time Implementation of PV Driven DC Motor along with Wireless Control

This paper discourses a real time application of photo voltaic (PV) driven direct current (DC) motor. There is abundant availability, clean and eco-friendly of PV power available in nature. Hence, utilization of it is more economical and reliable. Solar PV convert solar energy into DC. So the DC power from PV panel can be used to drive the DC motor as the usage of PV fed DC drives demand increases day by day in home, agricultural and industrialized appliances. In space and robotic applications both the speed and direction of motor has to control. Moreover, if it utilizes solar power it will be cost effective. So, performance of PV fed DC motor drives is studied here. For the sake of simplification and ease of doing its tested on a small toy motor. Because, it operate at low voltage, current and power ratings hence, a small PV panel is sufficient to drive the motor. However, the speed of the motor can be controlled using pulse width modulation (PWM) control and the direction of rotation of the motor (either changed forward or reverse) direction can be achieved using Bluetooth terminal android app with the help of HC05 module. Moreover, for continuous operation of the drive a rechargeable battery is used for the storage. Here all this speed control and direction control of the drive is verified in real time of PV driven DC motor along with the speed control using Arduino uno microcontroller.
