Remotely Configurable Low Cost Arbitrary Function Generator

Function generators available in the market are very costly, and they provide only two channels with maximum peak to peak voltage (Vpp) of 10 V. Again, the signal generator integrated circuit (IC) generates specific output waveform, and to get all waveform extra hardware circuit is needed. Therefore, there should be cost effective solution for the function generator to get every waveform without extra circuitry. The proposed design will provide arbitrary wave, sine wave, square wave, triangular wave, and sawtooth wave of ±28 Vpp amplitude, 1 to 10 kHz frequency with remote configuration in minimum cost. Frequency is limited to 10 kHz because of sampling frequency of DAC. The proposed design can be controlled remotely using software application because of in built WIFI and it is very useful in low frequency application.
