Design and Implementation of Mobile Signal Indoor Depth Coverage System Based on Coaxial Cable

According to the requirements of mobile signal indoor depth coverage and the limitation of existing coverage solutions, a radio frequency system based on community antenna television (CATV) coaxial cable was proposed in this paper. First, the system principle and several key problems were analyzed, and parameters of the system design were calculated. Then, the structure of three main components: combiner, distributor and intelligent terminal and key modules such as impedance matching filter, and synchronization are described. Finally, the field test results show that the proposed system meets the requirements of design and application, realizes the signal coverage of a 160 m² apartment, improves the cell measure report (MR) coverage, meanwhile does not affect the performance of indoor distribution system. It has the advantages of low cost, fast construction and simple coordination compared to the existing solutions and it is a novel and practical way to realize indoor depth coverage.
