Research on Lightweight and Support Design of Scanning Mirror for Aerial Camera

The lightweight design and supporting structure of scanning mirror with size of 400mm ×260mm are studied. From the aspects of material selection, lightweight of mirror assembly, and flexible structure design, the three-point support mode of back is chosen to meet the requirement of instrument stiffness. The lightweight form of reflector is determined by topology optimization, and a flexible supporting structure of reflector is proposed. Finite element analysis is used to analyze the design results. The results show that the RMS values of reflecting mirror shape under the action of gravity load and 6°C temperature are up to 11.8 nm and 8.7 nm, respectively, which meets the requirements of λ/50 (λ ~ (632.8) mirror design.
