Recommending Expert Freelancers To Buyers In Online Marketplaces

Beauty of the World Wide Web (WWW) is not only a huge collection of data and information but it also brings people closer to each other from all over the world. A new and growing area on the web is freelancing, which enables the people around the globe to use skills, expertise, and mind of talented freelancers from anywhere in the world. Freelancing platforms work for two types of peoples i.e. freelancer and a contractor/ client or buyer. A freelancer is a person who is searching for jobs, while the contractor is actually searching for a freelancer for solving his work and business goals. In this, approach the freelancing platforms recommends jobs to the freelancers and freelancers to contractors. However, there are lots of issues in these stereotype recommendation systems, which are discussed in this paper. Furthermore, this paper presents a novel approach for recommending expert freelancers to contractors, not only to save the time of the contractors but also to reduce cognitive overload for them. Experimental results show that the proposed approach is highly effective and recommend relevant expert freelancers to contractors in a better way than the existing recommendation techniques.
