An Optimal Selection of Network for Cognitive Radio- Delay Tolerant Networks (CR-DTN)

In the recent area, Vehicular Delay Tolerant Networks (VDTNs) are used in in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The number of vehicles on the road are increased now, this leads to the improvement of vehicular communication. Cognitive Radio (CR) has been used by VDTNs. They allow the vehicles to use the unutilized spectrum. Hence, they give a solution that is efficient to face the challenges thrown by VDTNs. This can be done through spectrum handoff. How the selection of the optimal network for spectrum handoff can be made is a crucial task. Different multiple attributes decision making (MADM) methods are used for selection of optimal networks. MADM provides optimum alternative with good quality of service. The results obtained shows that the proposed technique is efficient to select optimal network for spectrum handoff.
