FGMOS based Gain Tunable and Low Power OTRA Circuit

In the paper, a gain tunable and low power OTRA circuit based on FGMOS has been proposed. Tunability is achieved with the help of controlling voltage Vc. In the proposed circuit, some of the MOSFETs present in the conventional circuit have been replaced by two input floating gate MOSFETs, characteristics like low power consumption, low voltage operation and programmability help in achieving high- performance circuits with help of floating gate MOSFETs. LTspice has been used to simulate the conventional OTRA and proposed OTRA circuits with the help of 180nm CMOS technology and confirms the effectiveness of the proposed circuit. Simulation results show that the proposed circuit has variable open-loop gain, the value of open-loop gain is varied from 82dbΩ to 60dbΩ, if controlling voltage is varied from -0.1V to -0.8 V. The implementation of the proposed circuit led to a decrease in power consumption from 456nW to 37.3nW with a reduced power supply from 0.8 V to 0.6 V.
