Analysis Performance Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Based on Pitch Angle to Output Power

This article will show analysis effect pitch angles on vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) on output power that can be generated by turbine. The background of this research is pitch angle will increase the thrust force of the wind turbine, so that the turbine rotation will be faster. Recalling that the turbine used is vertical turbine, then the turbine will be like spin. The method used in this article calculate the turbine constant value (Cp). There are several parameters contained in the turbine constant values such as wind speed, turbine angular speed, tip speed ratio, turbine pitch angle.
