Self-assessment as a tool for quality management of an educational institution in a technology-rich environment

the paper represents one of the tools of the current internal quality assurance system at the University of Žilina which is self-assessment. It is a special approach to the assessment of the quality of education and fulfilment of the goals and strategy of the university, which, however seems to the involved parties to be very bureaucratic and complex. Therefore, the use of advanced technologies which are not in short supply at the university seems to be a means to address these identified problems. The paper represents two examples in the form of using of the so-called internal internet marketing and the design of database creation for evaluation of inputs for assessment of internal quality assurance system of education in a self-assessment tool of internal quality assurance system of education at the university.
