Prediction of Thermodynamic Processes in Insulating Materials of Cable Electric Power Systems

It is described that the presence of impurities or oxidation products resulting from heating in insulation leads to leakage currents. Derived the dependence of the power allocated to the active component leakage current, allowing to calculate the capacity of partial discharges, and to determine the location of inclusion of m1 in the main insulation due to the capacity of the active component leakage current, when it occurs in the main cable insulation. The calculation of the change in the heat flux passing through the layers of cable insulation, taking into account the thermal resistance of the inclusion. The mathematical model (7) is obtained, which allows to determine the presence of inclusions in the insulating material along with the layer-by-layer calculation of isotherms in the cross-section of the cable. The technique proposed in the developed model allows to account for heat losses based on the thermal and geometric dimensions of the inclusion, which was not taken into account in the known thermal models. It will allow to receive temperature on all layers of the cable line of electric power system, starting from radial distances, the inclusion parameters caused by a current of a core of isolation as the main temperature-forming factor.
