Performance Analysis of Tx-Rx Isolated Distributed Antenna System Implementing In-band Full-duplex for Up-link Communication to Mitigate Self-interference in 5G

Full-duplex (FD) is significantly better than half duplex (HD) as it transmits and receives data signal simultaneously at the same frequency channel. But one of the major challenges in this technique is self-interference (SI). To our best knowledge, for the first time, we introduce a system model for 5

generation up-link communication exploiting distributed antenna system (DAS) to reduce SI to an extent and thus making the overall network performance better. This proposed DAS is modified version of the conventional one. It uses separate transmitter and receiver whereas traditional DAS uses transceiver which is highly exposed to SI. After comprehensive simulation of the proposed system, its performance is evaluated and compared with the existing DAS technology under different parameters and scenarios. The SINR performance of proposed system model appears to be better than the traditional DAS.
