A Multi-Model System of Intelligent Unmanned Surface Vehicles for Environmental Monitoring

Considerable interest of the scientific community and international organizations to automated environmental monitoring systems caused intensive development of the technology of intelligent unmanned surface vehicles (USVs). The article describes an analytical model of USVs based on the results of numerical experiments different from the previously obtained ones in that it takes into account the specific shape of a USV's hull, direction and velocity of the surface current and the wind. The authors obtained model diagrams of spheres of the power consumption used for navigation stabilization and correct spatial arrangement of a USV. This model is the basis for intellectualization of the USV mission control system, improves validity of decisions and helps to reduce the time taken by an operator to make a decision, makes possible the control given assigned scenarios.
