Design of annular ring MIMO antenna using Defected Ground Structure

A compact annual ring MIMO design occupied by an area of 52 χ 35 mm with Rogers (RT5880) lossy material. This design have a dual-band operation at 2.9 GHz & 6.8 GHz produces a reflection coefficient (S11) of -17.72 dB & -29.32 dB and transmission coefficient (S21) of -54.12 dB & -45.08 dB is produced and then observes that there is a greater reducing in the parameter of mutual coupling at the resonant band of frequencies. At that resonant frequencies the radiation efficiency is also better performance at the resonant bands of 96.05& & 93.10%. The annular ring MIMO design parameters of ECC, peak gain, diversity gain and group delay at the resonant band of frequencies is 0.0015 &0.0080, 3.37 dBi & 5.27 dBi, 9.99 dBi & 10 dBi, 0.86 ± 1nsec & -1.05± 1nsec. At the dual-band resonant frequency of annul ring MIMO design maintained VSWR ≤ 2. The simulations are done using computer simulation technology (CST).
