Survey of Energy Systems in Nicosia, TRNC

Consumption of energy increasing every year in the world. Our goal is to use energy more efficiently. The cost of heating and cooling in North Cyprus is expensive and therefore it should be reduced. The structural of the building is very important part to reduce the cost of electricity for heating and cooling systems. In TRNC, average max and minimum temperature for cold and hot weather is approximately 15°C/5°C and 35/20°C respectively. Climate comfort conditions are the key factor to reduce building operating costs in the structural design. In order to the reduce heat losses , the climate and building parameters must be taken into account and the solar radiation which comes from the Sun should be used correctly and effectively. In this study, energy efficiency analysis was carried out in accordance with the survey conducted in Nicosia, North Cyprus.
