A comparative study between ACO-based protocols and PSO-based protocols in WSN

Lately, researchers have shown an increased interest in WSN (Wireless sensor network), which has become more practical in several applications. Sensitive domains like medical, military, earthquake or volcano prediction, etc. use WSN to collect data, therefore it requires both energy and QoS (Quality Of Service) aware routing so as to assure efficient and reliable transmission. Routing protocols are divided into two categories classical and computational intelligence (CI). CI provides dynamic network topology, clustering, security, scheduling, data aggregation, and QoS. This paper furnishes a review of some hierarchical energy efficient routing protocols based on CI approach ACO and PSO.
