Integrated Coding and Design in SoftwareProduction

Colored Petri Nets (CPNs) can be used as a cornerstoneevolutionary approach for software prototyping. In thiswork, CPNs are not only a resource for design, but also fordeveloping high-level software. The coding process is completelyintegrated with the modeling, analyzing and tests phases. Theuse of prototypes, generated automatically with the CPN design,can avoid error propagation to the subsequent steps of softwaredevelopment, increasing quality and improving productivity. Themain contributions of this work are: (i) the game-Aided byModelling (GAM) method, which not only serves to model, butto create simple games from CPNs; and (ii) the Classes-Aidedby Modelling (CAM) method generalizes GAM method to theobject-oriented classes implementation. Two applications weredeveloped to demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach andare also discussed here.
