Surgical Instrument Supply Automated System

This article describes the problem of supplying instruments to a surgeon during an operation. A method of automating the process is proposed by creating a robotic system that is able to carry out the transfer of the necessary tools to the workspace at the right time of the operation. An analysis of the task of automating the process of supplying tools was carried out, alternative manual techniques were considered. The problems arising in the development of a robotic system are described, methods of solution are proposed. On the basis of the proposed methods, a general approach to solving the problem has been developed.
