High Accuracy Conveyor-Based Object Counting Algorithm

This paper proposes Redundancy Count (RC) method for accurately counting moving objects on a moving plane or a conveyor system. The method works on top of an image processing algorithm that detects the positions of objects. The image processing fault can also be corrected by redundancy evaluation of the method. The experimental results show an improvement of 7-8 times less counting error than a frame-based counting method.
