A New Adiabatic Logic without Charge Sharing Gate for Cryptographic Devices

In this paper, we propose a cryptographic logic circuit: Modify Without Charge Sharing Quasi Adiabatic Logic (MWCS-QuAL), based on the previously proposed WCS-QuAL. By inserting a diode section to the current path from the power supply, the proposed circuit suppresses a hazard current that is generated in the standby, wait and idle mode. Performance comparisons with the proposed circuit and the previously proposed cryptographic adiabatic logic circuit group: CSSAL, SQAL, SPGAL, EE-SPFAL, and WCS-QuAL are carried out by SPICE simulation.
