Security issues in Wireless Sensor Network Broadcast Authentication

Wireless sensor networks influence is increasing day by day due to its cost effectiveness in handling real world challenges. WSN consists of many small limited power and limited computational-power devices to monitor physical and environmental conditions, allowing communication over wireless link. WSN is introducing new techniques of communication and dissemination of information in wireless network. Due to involvement in many applications, secure authentication of broadcast packets is a mandatory requirement which is one of the great challenges in WSN security. In this paper we have discussed all the threats to the WSN concerning secure communication. However, the focus of this paper is to highlight the security issues regarding broadcast authentication in WSN and analyze the proposed solutions with respect to various parameters.
