Properties of TiO2and SnO2 in a State of Different Dispersion and Morphology

This article is devoted to the peculiarities of the properties of nanodispersed metal oxides, namely titanium (IV) and tin (IV) oxides, in a state of varying morphology. Published data show a significant effect nanosize and forms of particles on their physical and chemical properties. This suggests about variety of properties of metal oxides and the ability to control it for these parameters. Thus, just by changing the particle sizes and their morphology can produce a large number of nanomaterials. It is shown that using knowledge of the electronic and optical properties of titanium (IV) and tin (IV) oxides nanoparticles of different morphologies, new effective nanoadsorbents, nanophytocatalysts and gas sensors can be obtained.
