Monitoring of Groundwater level and Development of Control Mechanism based on Machine Learning Algorithm

India is one of the largest user of groundwater on the planet but it lacks an adequate framework and technical developments for the conservation of groundwater. The main goal of the work is to develop a system for monitoring the usage of groundwater and to establish some criterions and regulations based on the groundwater level in a particular area. An automated system is created which monitors water level and water usage of the area. The threshold value for water usage is calculated through prediction algorithms with accuracy of 89% based on the features of particular area. Implementation of this system in the severely affected areas will stop uncontrolled usage of groundwater and it will bring transparency in groundwater management. The information about the utilization can be accessed from data storage units which use Hadoop architecture. Educating people about their groundwater usage is the desired outcome of the work which is obtained by creating messaging system. A billing unit system and water usage blocking system are suggested as controlling measures in severely affected areas.
