Smiles-2 Band Selection Study for Chemical Species

Band selection study for SMILES-2 proposal (JAXA/ISAS 500 kg science satellite program) is updated from 4 bands configuration to 3 bands (625-650 GHz, 750-771 and 1.8- 2.0THz). This change is required to reduce sizes of primary antenna (from 100 cm to <; 80 cm) and 4K cooled system. The system performance, other than the sensitivity for NO₂, CO, CH₃Cl, and B_rO, is improved in the new 3 bands configuration.
