Creating the Educational and Research Software for Integrated Assessment of Energy Consumption and Sustainable Development of Regions

A new approach which determines the level of sustainable development of the country and its individual regions taking into account the development of the energy sector and energy security of the country is proposed. The authors present their own research and development of software that comprehensively takes into account social, environmental, economic and energy indicators for assessing the sustainable development of the country. The algorithm of base indicators calculation for a comprehensive assessment of energy consumption and sustainable economic development and their correlation is developed. The results of the study can be used in the educational process and in the professional activity of future specialists in the field of electrical engineering to systematize information on the level of energy consumption of the country and calculate its sustainable development.
