Coexistence of DVB Television and 5G Services in Adjacent Bands

The attribution of the 700 MHz band to mobile services, in particular to the new 5G technology, makes it necessary to downsize the portion of the UHF spectrum attributed to broadcasting: the band that will be available for television services is between 470 MHz and 694 MHz, corresponding to channels 21 to 48. In this work we report a detailed methodology and a simulation tool to evaluate coexistence between DVB-T and 5G; in the last section is described a specific ITU case of study of coexistence between DTT and 5G services in adjacent bands between neighbouring countries.
