About Improving the Measuring Distances Accuracy Based on Correlation Analysis of Stereo Images

The subject of this work is to increase the accuracy of the restoration of three-dimensional space picture from two-dimensional digital images. For this there were investigated the possibilities of using various digital image processing techniques. There was considered the influence of methods of mixing color channels on the accuracy of measuring distances for different functions of the correlation image processing. To accelerate the correlation processing, it is possible to use an integral representation of the images. Filtering images before correlation processing can provide an increasing in the value of the correlation function depending on the filter parameters.
