Bistable Transmission of a Metal Dielectric Grating for Controlling Filter Application

The problem of electromagnetic wave diffraction by the metal bar grating with a defect layer in the multilayer filling of the slits has been investigated. Kerr type nonlinear dielectric of the defect layer has been considered. The bistable transmission and reflection of the wave through the nonlinear grating have been obtained. We have shown that the defect in the grating works as a concentrator of the electromagnetic field.
