Nano-Dispenser: A microfluidic Liquid Handler with the Help of a Pneumatic Controlled Transparent Micronozzle Array

This microfluidic liquid handler at nanoliter scale has advantages of high throughput while using very little amount of chemicals and reagents. Parallel ejection of droplets is very critical for obtaining high-throughput. Recently, there has been an increasing demand for Nano-liter volume liquid dispensers to handle small liquid volumes as well as to allow convenient access of various bio-samples. Managing different bio-samples with different properties while avoiding contamination is also very important for any Nano dispensing system. Also these systems are very advantageous for fabrication of complex cellular structures. In this paper we have proposed a method of dispensing nanoliter droplets containing cells or particles on a Microwell plate with the help of a pneumatic controlled transparent Micronozzle array. This paper explains fabrication process of a Nano-Dispenser that consists of Micronozzle array and Microwell plate. This Nano-dispenser is a very simple and low-cost system for dispensing of nanoliter droplets. Our nozzle array provides parallel ejection of liquid that is useful for high-throughput placement. The capability of pneumatic control, transparent structure of nozzle array and its two-dimensional structure give the novelty to our Micronozzle array. Evaluation of parallel ejection through the holes of nozzle array has also been observed in this paper.
