Interval-Based Decentralized Dispatch Method for Coupled Transmission-Distribution System

In this study, a novel interval-based decentralized dispatch approach for the coupled transmission-distribution system optimization problem is proposed. The interval values are introduced as the control targets for tie-line power exchanged between the upper level transmission grid and lower level each distribution grid. According to the analytical target cascading technique, a decentralized dispatch framework and a set of decentralized dispatch models are formulated. Then the truncated diagonal quadratic approximation strategy is applied to coordinate the upper level transmission grid and lower level each distribution grid in a parallel manner. Test results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
