Land Surface Temperature Analysis and Trends for Rivne Using Remote Sensing Data

City's ecological monitoring it is a problem with which a lot of city's are faced today. There no one solution that can solve all the problems. This problem include greenery monitoring, city growth monitoring, air quality monitoring, water monitoring and soil monitoring. All this aspects are combined in Nexus approach that have specific for city's use. Remote sensing approach gives applicable data source for city's ecological characteristics monitoring and forecasting. Ukraine can use world experience in remote sensing data. In this work, remote sensing approach was used within the Public initiative “Trees with stories in Rivne”, and it includes the analysis of the condition of urban trees, the land surface temperature for the city, city planning, comparison with the city of Lublin and city's state tends analysis. For this task were used satellite images of Sentinel-2 to build land cover classification maps and vegetative NDVI indices, satellite images of Landsat-8 used to build land surface temperature maps and increase the time series of vegetation index by 2014 for trends calculation. The analysis showed poor condition of green plantations, high summer average land surface temperature and deterioration of these indicators it trends.
